Khula Fund
An idea we are exploring: if your business already keeps its books in Khula, the information a funder needs is sitting there — verified, current and reconciled. Access to working capital ought to be able to use it.
To be completely clear about what this is. Khula Fund does not exist yet. We are not a registered credit provider, we are not offering credit, and we are not quoting rates or decision times. There is nothing here to apply for. If we build it, it will be with a registered partner and under the National Credit Act — and this page will say so, with the actual cost of credit on it.
The thinking
Why an ERP is an unusually good place to start a credit conversation.
The data already exists
A business running its books in Khula already has verified invoices, payment history, stock turn and customer concentration in one place. A lender normally spends weeks reconstructing exactly that from bank statements.
Less paperwork, not less rigour
The goal is to remove the document-gathering, not the assessment. Affordability and responsible-lending checks are the part that protects the borrower.
Credit built on trading history
A young business with twelve months of clean, verifiable trading in Khula should not be assessed as though it had no history at all.
Owner stays in control
Nothing about your business would ever be shared with a funder without you choosing to share it, per application.
Would you use this?
We are talking to business owners about whether access to working capital through their ERP would genuinely help, and to funders about whether the data changes their assessment. If you have a view, we would like to hear it — it shapes whether we build this at all.
Registering interest places you under no obligation and is not an application for credit.
